Our Mission
The Knowledge Foundation exists to make serious ideas accessible. We cover history, geopolitics, capital markets, culture, and mind & spirit with the goal of helping readers think more clearly about the world — its past, its present, and the forces shaping its future.
Independence
We are an independent publication. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or any outside organizations. If a commercial relationship ever has any bearing on content, we will disclose it clearly.
Accuracy
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that facts, figures, dates, and attributions are correct before publishing. When we rely on specific sources, we link to or credit them directly. If an error is brought to our attention, we will correct it promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the affected article.
Sources
We draw on a wide range of sources including books, academic research, government data, primary documents, and reputable journalism. We do not treat any single outlet or institution as automatically authoritative. Where sources conflict, we say so.
Opinion and Analysis
Some content on this site represents the informed opinion or analysis of the author rather than straight reporting. We aim to make this distinction clear through context and framing. Opinion pieces reflect the views of the individual author, not the site as a whole.
Corrections Policy
If you believe something we have published is factually incorrect, please contact us at chris@theknowledgefoundation.net. Include the article title, the specific claim in question, and any supporting information. We take all correction requests seriously and respond to every one.
AI and Automated Tools
Where artificial intelligence tools are used in the research, drafting, or editing process, the final content is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content without meaningful human oversight.
No Sensationalism
We do not write headlines designed to mislead or exaggerate. We do not publish content solely for shock value or outrage. Our standard is whether a piece adds genuine understanding — not whether it generates clicks.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors are expected to disclose any personal, financial, or professional interest that could reasonably be seen as influencing their coverage of a topic. Undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for removal of content.
Comments and Community
We welcome disagreement and debate. We do not welcome abuse, harassment, or bad faith engagement. We reserve the right to moderate or remove comments that violate these standards.
